My Petition was filed from Fragomen Inc. I got the receipt from them in last week though.I am also Advanced Degree/Regular Processing. As per them,as soon as they get receipt in their office they will notify you.
As your Sevis record is due on status change there is strong possibility that your H1b got approved. I suggest you to mail your International School Advisor and ask them to keep you updated. Moreover you can keep Fragomen as CC.

I received my receipt EAC13137xxxxx on April 16th and its in initial review status.

Wanted to know if they have got around to any approvals for RQ cases?

    All the best everyone!

    • RQ Quota takes 2 months at least. I had seen the cases where it takes more than 3 months.

So its too early to think about it.

    • Hi All

Typically H1b approval can take a long time. My suggestion is that if you dont get your approval by July last week, go for a premium upgrade and you can have everything approved before end of august 3rd week.

      Thanks Ram

  7. Hello everyone,

My Receipt EAC13132XXXXX got approved yesterday with 3 years. Mine was Regular cap/Prem Proc/Vermont center. Till yesterday noon 1PM, the USCIS website was showing ACCEPTANCE status, but in next few minutes I got the approval email from attorney and when I checked the site it said DECISION APPROVED. So, those who are keep on checking the USCIS site, leave it instead wait for the email from your attorney/employer. They are the ones who get upto date info.

I wish all the best for those who are waiting!

Thanks for your info. FYI, As you mentioned receipt number starting with EAC your petition is processed from Vermont Service Center.

Can you please mention the first 5 digits following EAC so that we can find when was your receipt number entered in USCIS center and when the notification reached you.

You can very well share the first five digits following EAC as its just the fiscal year and working day information of your center. Hope you got it.

However, I got a 797-c notice of action containing receipt number for H4 class for my spouse and child today. Case Type is mentioned as “I539 application to extend/change non-immigrant status”. Does that mean my application was selected in lottery?

It depends on who issued the check addressed to “USCIS”.

If your attorney issues the checks, then he will know else the employer.

    My employer just told me

The US Department of Homeland Security did deposit our checks for your H1-B application and that has cleared our bank.

Does this mean that my application is selected in lottery?

    Please advise

    • I believe that all H1b applications are processed by the Vermont and California service centers. I am from Texas as well and I think Texas applications are sent to VSC. I have not received anything yet.

  19. Question, in total they will select 85K for processing (20 PP + 65 RP), what if some of the ones selected is not approved? Do they go back to the Non-Selected people to pic another group? Or do they leave the way it is?
I was on PP and still did not get my receipt notice, neither my SEVIS was updated, neither my lawyer’s check was cashed.
I am pretty anxious waiting for it.

  22. Hi guys,

So I learned today that I got my receipt through my School Immigration Officer.
I checked with my HR agent and the Lawyer and they still have no idea or the situation of my status.
Just letting you know because you can be more proactive and get the infor from any other source.
My application is RP/ Reg Quota/ California.

For those who have studied in the US I strongly suggest you to go and check your SEVIS with you school contact. They will let you know that USCIS has extended your OPT/Staying until Sept the 30… which will mean that you are in 🙂

Thanks! Good Luck for everybody (Especially for those in the US – I know how much you have invested and put in this country) God bless you.

The best way to find your Receipt
    1) Call employer ask for the Ckeck if it cashed or not, they have al records of checks…
    2) Call school if you are on OPT or CPT ,, if any satus has been changesd on your SEVIS ( Do not go online to check SEVIS that is your Fee status not the SEVIS)
    3) Call Lawyer directly for update.

  28. Hi Guys,

I have just recieved a mail from my employer that my appliction was not selected in lottery. Mine was Non Premium Regular case
Given below is the mail excerpt :

    Hi,
This is in continuation with the H-1B application request raised by you. We regret to inform you that your H-1B application was not filed with the USCIS.
ISG ensured that maximum number of H-1B applications based on availability of the complete documentation, certified LCA and / or business requirement were processed in time so as to file them in the first week of April itself. There were early indications that the cap will be reached in the first 5 days of the cap being open. As per USCIS the cap was reached on April 5, 2013 and a lottery was conducted on April 7, 2013 to select the H-1B that would be considered for processing.

I am just sharing this information if this can help you guys for making any prediction.
Best of Luck to waiting candidates, congratulation to selected ones and those not selected in lottery have faith in yourself…just go ahead don’t stop…

I assume for regular non-premium case takes atleast a month to get reply.

Have you make sure with your employer that whether you application is nt selected in lottery or else nt reached to them within april 5th?

Abv message is same what USCIS sent to your employer? If possible, you can ask your employer for forward the mail which got from USCIS:).

It will be clear for us as well :).

  31. Hi, I am from India. My employer in US forwarded premium processing receipt a week ago. Today I checked the status (using EAC#) and the status in “Decision” changed to “I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER was approved “.
Does it means, I got selected in Lottery? If selected what is the next step? When I can enter US? Please help with the answers. Thanks in advance.

    Reply
    • Yes, your application was selected in the lottery when you were provided with receipt. Our H1B visa has been approved. Since you are in India, you have to give interview and come to US. The start date of your H1B will be 1st Oct, 2013. And hence you cannot come prior to that, plus you cannot give interview before 1st Oct. So give interview any time after 1st and get your visa stamped and you can enter USA.

      Good luck!

      Reply
      • Not true. Once you receive your paperwork from your employer you can head to your local Consulate/Embassy. Some will allow visa to be stamped even 6 months ahead of effective date (which is October 1st) however you will not be able to travel until 10 days from effective date. So most likely the earliest you can fly to the US under this visa will be September 21st.

        Cheers

    • Chirag,

You said, I cannot apply for interview before 1st Oct. But I find the following in the same site.
“VFS is the primary service provider for booking appointments and one should follow their recommendation. As per their recommendation, you can apply for H1B visa stamping only 90 days prior to your H1B employment start date. So, if your start date is October 1st for H1B visa status, you can apply for visa stamping anytime after July 1st . To avoid last minute delays, start your visa stamping process in early July.”
      http://redbus2us.com/h1b-approved-%E2%80%93-when-to-apply-for-visa-stamping-when-can-you-enter-usa/

Anyone please clarify when I can go for Visa interview in Hyderabad?

      Reply
    • As per law u can not give interview prior to 90 days form your job start …that means you can give interview any time after 1st july.
