  1. Hi all,

Just looking at the CSC center numbers, even today they had several WAC numbers with receipt dates between April 8th and 16th, including PP and regular. I guess nothing is over until April end.

    Eg:WAC1313552435 RP
    WAC1313552437PP

SO, basically, until USCIS says it over, it is not over.

    All the best to everybody!

    • Same here. Its like a hell. I don’t 8understand why USCIS is approving H1s for H4s and L1s.
I have some one who is working on L1. His Company is transferring him from L1 to H1. He is really not worried about the lottery. He just said, casually, if not H1, I can stay in L1 and apply next year. We are here from the past 5 years and got nothing.
Another H4 to H1 approval. One lady she got married to a H1 guy last month, came here on H4 and applied H1. She got 3-yrs approval. Why we are not getting. we are not even getting a receipt. Its just like a hell.

    • RP receipts are taking time. So far, it looks like they havent even opened the RP files. They are concentrating on PP. ,Most PP guys got either receipts or approvals. I havent heard of anybody getting RP receipt yet. There is still time, upto May..

    • @Suri — Could you pls clarify if am wrong in understanding the different modes of processings?

      1. Advanced Cap Processing
      2.Regular Processing
      3.Premium Processing

Is there any regular premium processing as well ?? am i missing something ??

      Reply
      • @Ragh – Actually there is No Regular Premium Processing.
I was asking for Advanced Degree and Regular Processing details..

      • Hi Ragh,

Processing is different and quota/category is different.
There are 2 categories for H1B, 1. Advanced degree and 2. Regular
Coming to the processings, one is premium and the other is regular.
Both the categories can apply for any of the processing. ie., both Advanced degree and Regular can apply for premium processing.

For premium processing, you need to pay $1,225 for faster adjudication within 15 calendar days. That is the reason USCIS started the premium applications processing from april 15th.

        • Hi H1bRegularPP,

          Thanks for the clarification.

My employer has filed for H1B under Regular-Regular processing on April 1st,and it’s not under premium processing too as it’s not done on 15.April . Also mine is not under Advanced Degree(Master’s exempt)

Could you pls let me know the max time it takes in my case ?? as its regular quota and regular processing.

          Thanks.

  6. Hey guys, be patient. I fall under AD/PP/CSC. From what I have been seeing, most if not all with AD will get through.. so just hang-on for some more time, guys!! I know how it feels like, I was in the same situation until this morning!! See the dates on my RN, they are dated Apr 10th. I did NOT get an email from USCIS. My employer got the RN in the mail. So that’s the delay for.. I really am not sure why they haven’t sent an email for my case. Some of my colleagues whose petitions filed by the same law firm in the same manner got emails for their cases. WAC-13-129-53XXX: 13 is year 2013, 129 in I-129 H1B, 53XXX tells my RN # is 53000 +. So they are are some 20000 more RNs out there.. So, sit tight friends!!

I just got a scanned copy of my I-797C from my attorney’s office.

    Received Date : April 08, 2013
    Notice Date : April 10, 2013
    Receipt # WAC-13-129-53XXX

I wish all of you tons of luck!!

    • @Hannu – For AD it’s OK, But how about regular processing ?? , no lottery success for regular caps? :-)..is it that minimal ??

      Reply
      • @Ragh, everyone is just speculating, no one really knows the exact figures until USCIS make them available to us. From what I hear, AD petitions files could be anywhere in between 22000 and 30000. The less the number of petitions, the more the chances of getting selected in the lottery since there are 2 chances for AD petitions. I hope they are around 22000, so mostly all AD will get through and Regular cap petitions will have less competition from AD petitions which were not selected in AD lottery. If AD are around 22000, there are still around 102,000 + 2000 = 104,000 (at any case 104,000 will be there for 2nd lottery) for a mere 60,000 (taking 6800 Chile/Singapore quota and adding 1800 roll over Chile/Singapore quota from last year, that’s just my guess)..

So the probability of getting through from Regular lottery is 57.69% ( No matter how many of them are from AD, it is all the same, that’s 60K against 104K)

I don’t mean scare you, just want to provide the facts!!

(I don’t like this lottery system, I know this is unfair. I have an MS degree from a reputed university. I have seen some applications got picked for guys who got their degree from very low-standard universities. If mine went unpicked that would definitely make me feel sorry for myself. Same for guys who are in regular cap!!)

        God bless us all!!

        • thanks hannu for your rough figures/estimates.

Am under regular cap,Is it like USCIS will send all receipt notices of a respective employer at one shot ? or how exactly it functions?? I checked with my employer and they haven’t heard any news so far . What’s the max closure time to put an end for all this ??

          Reply
          • They will send the receipt notices separately. Even if multiple petitions from one employer got selected USCIS processes each of them one-by-one. I have heard a million times until now, they deal with petitions and make decisions one-by-one.

either AD or Reg.cap, if it is premium processing, they chances are you will get an email or mail by the end of this week or may be in next week too.

If it is normal processing, they may get anytime in between now and mid-may. But if they dont get a response, I think they can still have hopes until mid-May.

        • Nobody likes this process Hannu, even from the perspective of guy with a lower degree. But that’s the fact we need to live with.

    • AD/PP/CSC.. What do all these acronyms mean? I am assuming PP is premium processing..
Also, I am a masters applicant and I applied through the regular processing. I haven’t heard anything yet. Has anyone in the masters category / regular processing heard yet?

  7. Guys,

I’ve a doubt – Does USCIS sends the receipt notices at one shot for the respective employer ?? or keeps sending receipts as & when it gets selected ??? How exactly it functions ??

  18. Hey guys, I just got the confirmation #. My attorney received it this morning via mail (dated April 10), so apparently they are not sending all confirmations/notices vie email.
I totally understand your concern as I was (until today) in the same boat…I know it’s very frustrating to know that your career depends on the lottery which is obviously not your choice nor it’s something you can influence.
Please stay positive…everything happens for a reason. Your careers are not in jeopardy or in question as you are all hard working people and somewhere a path will open for you.
They are supposed to lay out the new immigration reforms tomorrow…one of them being increase in H1B cap to 115K. If that’s the case, I heard rumors that the new legislation would kick in immediately which means that all of you will get visas. I believe there are no coincidences in life, only reasons…maybe USCIS hasn’t mailed out any application that was not chosen in the lottery pending decision tomorrow.
Keep your fingers crossed and GOOD LUCK everyone!

  19. Mine is Regular cap, premium processing. My attorney haven’t received anything yet. It is over for me? Anyone out there Regular Cap/PP received a recipient number from USCIS? Or waiting like me?

  20. When will this wait get over? USCIS should atleast let the applicants know whether they are through or not..what’s the point of just hanging in between !

  21. It is difficult to fathom the rational of so much delayed declaration of lottery results by USCIS. Especially for those who are under Regular Non PP, expected result would be around end of April or mid May.

    Reply
      • no Ganesh, still waiting.

I hope it reaches by this weekend. The WAC numbers suggest they are working on receipts of both PP and nonPP. But nonPP receipts will be sent out only after PP done. This is my guess.

          • Those were the ones posted on this forum last week by few other guys trying to count how many applications were being processed in a day. so i just checked on those and we can make out that a few are PP and a few are nonPP.

My guess is that they process 4000 applications each day at each center, in terms of giving receipt numbers. However, all that might change given that PP processing starts today.

We just have to wait and hope we get our receipts this week.
