What is H1B visa 2019 Quota for Regular and Masters filings ?
As of the date of writing of article, the H1B quota is as below. This is also called the H1B Visa Cap. You can read more at What is H1B Cap ? Regular vs Masters quota ?

  • H1B Regular Quota : 65,000 visas
  • H1B Master’s Quota : 20,000 visas. ( only US Masters eligible)

Also, of the overall 85,000 visa cap, every year 6,800 visas are set aside for the citizens of Singapore and Chile as part of the Free Trade Agreement with them. There were few bills part of Comprehensive Immigration Reform that are not active in Senate that were proposed from Obama administration days to change the cap count to 110,000 and Masters to 25,000, including potential to make H1B cap extend up to 180,000. How to find H1B visa 2019 Sponsors ?
It can be very hard to find a good employer and convince them to sponsor H1B to work in US with major unknown like H1B Visa lottery. Anyways, you would be in one of the three scenarios, if you are seeking a H1B Sponsor.

  • F1 Student in US : You can find an internship or co-op at an employer who can sponsor H1B visa and ask them to sponsor your H1B. You can continue to work on OPT once you graduate as well. You find the list of H1B Sponsoring companies using the tool
  • International Professionals  : If you are outside of US, it can be tricky with all the latest rules by Trump administration. Your best bet is to find an multi-national company ( MNC) and work through them to sponsor H1B visa. You may have hurdles inside the company with all the internal process, many waiting, etc. But, it is up to you to negotiate and ask them to take a chance. Many try the IT body shop route, where they ask them to file H1B. Rules have changed in the last few years and it is very risky move and can jeopardize your US hopes. Read comments on this H1B Companies Reviews article  to get an idea and  beware of such consulting companies to avoid fraud.
  • Important Note : We, as RedBu2US, DO NOT Provide any H1B sponsorship or guide anyone using professional services or fee. If anyone approaches you by saying our name, it is pure FRAUD…beware !

I paid a lot for them, and they are for the mainland!

      • Why did you have to pay for your H1B? Are not your employer supposed to pay for them? Or is your female brain not qualified enough to be sponsored in legal way?

  3. Q. We all know that USCIS prohibited an employer to do multiple filings and a supposed rejection should happen to such applications, but did filing through different employers, like one person on this forum has done, is that also liable for rejection or will these applications be alright?

    • Only if they are related in some way..

Say working with one IT consultant and applying with another for the same client or with same parent company or same stakeholders.

However, say you have an offer with amazon/google and file a second one with desi consultancy, nothing will be done..

I wish they had better controls in place to recognize such fraudulent petitions too.

ok.. lets wait for a week … to do.. what these people are saying.. atlease they don’t get one job in indi…. here easy to get opt and job with direct client.. and the pillars who made u they will be also genuine.. sooo STFU shit wondering

    • Theoretically, if filing for unrelated positions and unrelated companies, you should be fine.

You might get an RFE to prove that both are different/not related. You might get rejected if there was an association and you were not aware of. The fact that they sent a memo just before filing says that they will scrutinize such cases closely this year.
The memo demanding a client letter for third party work sites, makes it harder to file duplicates/game the system (Gayathri did it since she is wonderwoman).

      • You are assuming that these consultancies already have projects lined up .. .that is not true. I know of people who paid for their h1bs and were shown to work on internal projects and were asked to find projects/jobs once they got the visa..

Its a wide spread abuse of the system.. unfortunately genuine candidates like us suffer at the end..

        • CTS is our vendor here and I see this happening a lot. They just file it and then start looking for projects for there resources.

          • Exactly.. the only saving grace for companies like CTS is that they dont take money to file the visa unlike desi consultancies..

At least i hope they dont.

        • Please see the below link. Such people are obviously going to face RFEs/rejections etc.

From personal experience, some of my friends in such a position were scrambling to get the documents before the window closed.

      • SO, you are pointing one finger to other’s and pointing three finger’s to you.. for your survivalist.. atleast take care of you famly..

  7. Don’t mean to be racist but
I can see from the comments and the language all indians misbehaving on this blog. Shameful!

    • That is not racist. It is stereotyping.
It is also not true. Dont be so blind as to give all your attention to a handful of trolls and and thus loose the value and meaning that all the other indians give to your life.

Please, we need you to handle all petitions and approve. Get well soon.

    • @DKBose , Before releasing the approval or cashing cheques, I think USICS will release the number of petitions. Is this correct understanding.

      • @Tiger_Zinda_Hai

My understanding is you should go to jail for killing human first.

  13. On April 18, 2017, President Trump signed the Buy American and Hire American executive order to help reduce illegal immigration and preserve jobs for U.S. workers. To support these objectives, USCIS encourages all U.S. employers to verify all new hires through E-Verify.

  14. Some people were asking about the slack invites.

  15. We are talking about H1b checks here – just to give you a perspective. STOP spreading rumors and get the hell out of here.

  16. @Gayathri
Please stop nonsense and get back to ur work
I think u have applied H1b without any projects

Don’t spread fake news in this time

  17. this time the flooding of h1b’s petitions would be from h4 ead’s as the ead is going to be ended and many spouses who are now employed will go jobless, to save their jobs they would be filing H1b’s, i see their number would be more compared to that of any one else., Any ideas on that ??

  18. For a Non AD applicant, what is generally the date that if your checks aren’t cashed by then its quite clear that he/she didn’t got picked in the lottery?

    Does anyone have an idea?

Donno On what basis USCIS is acting, coz I have seen few fake guys getting approved also

Really,,this picture is scaring me a lot even though being genuine petitioner!!

  21. Humble request to all – can we please keep focus of our discussion to the H1b and lottery process and avoid petty/useless discussion, racial slurs etc. If you have a lot of time in hand, please do something constructive. Unnecessary comments just take away so much from the real discussion here. Please respect time guys and keep it classy.

  22. To get rid of this panic situation

I am thinking to ping Emma and ask about latest news from them on lottery if any

As we hv that option. “Need Help Ask Emma?” on USCIS site …we can utilise that provided ??

  23. @All stop taking Gayathri’s name. I’m not saying what she is doing is right but you’re stunting overall women empowerment on this forum. Please say no to hate on the forum. Men or Women all are equal!

    • @NehaDhoopia
Wish she had said the last line she said…
We all do respect women !! They do a lot of things in life that a man cannot even come close to doing it…
But once you have grabbed the opportunity.. and you are on the pilot seat.. all it matters is your skills and passion towards the job.. not the gender !!

Otherwise it’s no different than cast based preferences !!
