- May 5th : USCIS announced today that data entry of all FY15 H-1B cap petitions has been completed. USCIS will now begin returning all H-1B cap petitions that were not selected in the lottery. They have announced it on their twitter and facebook pages.
- April 18th : USCIS announced that they will begin H1B FY 2015 premium processing from April 28th, 2014. Previously they announced that they will begin, ‘no later than April 28th’. They just clarified that. You can read on USCIS website

When will H1B Visa 2015 Season Begin ?
USCIS accepted H1B Visa 2015 applications from April 1st, 2014. They had the window open for 5 working days. USCIS stopped accepting H1B Petitions for FY 2015 from Monday April 7th as more applications were received than the required cap of 85,000 petitions.
What would be the Cap count for H1B Visa 2015 quota ?
No changes to the H1B Cap for FY15, the immigration reform discussions did not go through, the cap limit remained same as last year.
- Regular H1B Quota : 65,000
- Masters H1B Quota : 20,000
- It is to be noted that 6,800 visas every year are set aside for Singapore and Chile Free trade agreement filings, which is called as H1B1 program.

How soon should I start planning for H1B Visa 2015 ?

How do I find Sponsors for H1B visa 2015 ?

What would be the H1B Filing fee for Fiscal year 2015 ?
There has not been any changes in the filing fee for the past couple of years. It did not change for fiscal year 2014. The H1B Visa 2015 filing fee can range anywhere from $1,575 to $4,325 based on the size of the company (number of employees ). Also, the attorney fee can range from $700 to $3000. H1B Visa Immigration Reform – CIR – Proposed Changes ? The comprehensive immigration reform has not passed yet. But, lets say, if it gets passed, the below changes may happen.
- Annual H1B Cap will be increased from 65,000 per year to 110,000. If exteme demand, it can go up to a maximum of 180,000.
- The H1B quota for STEM degree holders from American Schools will increase from 20,000 to 25,000
- H1B Visa fees can up to USD $10,000.
- More stringent rules on H1B visa adjudication.
- Mandatory LCA posting on DOL website for at least 30 days, before it is certified.

My wife’s lawyer just sent her following email.

Just now got a call from employer that my Check has been deducted…!He said it will take 1 week to get the receipt.
They just said data entry is finished . Its nothing to do with receipt sending. They already generated receipts and the series. Till now i didnt see any receipts withs eries WAC141146 OR WAC 14147. So still receipt will come . Best of luck 🙂
dude, haven’t you seen the updates here?? 147 series have already come!!! Only series left are 148 (approx 3k that day but only around 50-60% of them for H1 from Apr 10th lottery)
Approx 2k from 149 series, only 25% of them were from April 10th lottery!!! i would say there is a maximum of 2-3k in 148 and 149 series in EAC!!! Not much hope left 🙁

I really hate those desi consultancy companies like INFY WIPRO TCS CTS etc….they apply for thousands of H1 with no intention of using them immediately, while people here on jobs need to pack up!!!! What a FCKD UP SYSTEM!!!

I have been watching these posts for sometime now. with no bias or evil intentions I say this.
there is a trend in blaming the big offshore IT compaines for applying for thousands of H1Bs.. it happens that the customer of the IT company (read US business) wants to bring a developer to onshore and demands so. Over the past couple of years US consulates have started a trend of rejecting L1B type visas stating, if your job is technical in nature, go apply for a H1. If H1 is restricted like this, the compaines are forced to wait till next tyear cap and apply for all the pending requests from the customer. which runs into 1000s. Imagine a company earning > 10billion revenue must be having 100s of customers in the US.

I spoke with my employer on 29th. She says that she did not receive the receipt for any of the applicants and the check was also not cashed for any of us.

Dude no one is speculating about will more receipts will arrive in the mail. They will. But the alert from uscis at least suggests that they will be returning applications from next week onwards.

Why would USCIS send email to you with out updating in the website. Please don’t post false information.
Its not false information. It is true. The update does not show up on the website yet. But if you subscribe their mailing list, uscis sends the email.
I wish it was false, I am also waiting and praying for the receipt notice like many others. I just shared the email I received from USCIS, I have subcribed USCIS mailing list for press releases.

Yup and still waiting….I called VISANOW just now and they confirmed that USCIS has finished the data entry.If selected then i should receive the confirmation by mid May but chances are minimal now.

So you will not understand.. its not afterall H1B , it would have made life for me.
So what if you failed to get an H1b multiple times?? there are other countries and other options. You should try those instead of being so radical about an H1.

Dont take nasty decisions when you are on your low, think about your loved ones too. I am pretty sure you have people looking after you. Just to console you,My situation: I came to US in 2005 and till this year no H1, I did 2 MS/PHD did my thesis in a national lab, I was offered a job in national lab but due to govt shut down that was taken away from me. It is sometimes hard but not that hard to take away lives. Be positive and positive things happen.
So sad to heard about your story, I am with you, have few things similar… I came here in early 2008 and doing 2nd MS, didn’t pick up last year and still waiting this year. Spent more than 50 K but no use till now, I may go back to my home land permanently if I didn’t select this time.

Dude…think about your family and friends what will they think/feel and what sort of example are you setting for the future generation.

Guys, You don’t believe this!. Yesterday my attorney received my ‘Approval Notice’ over the mail. The interesting part is, My attorney never received the Receipt number so far and he received this email with receipt number and message stating about my approval. I am a silent follower of this site and this is the second time I am trying my luck here. I almost lost hope (myne is RD/PP/EAC) and was planning on other options Plan B . All my hard work paid on ‘Labor’ day !! So don’t loose hope ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME !! After all this is just a tiny drop in one’s sea called LIFE.

This what i see. WAC generated most of the receipts till wac141145. There also receipts generated with WAC141146, WAC141147 series very few compare to WAC141145. so we should expect most of this next week . So best of luck to all waiting 🙂
@SAISRI I’m also RQ/RP/CA and waiting for the receipt. The last I heard from the lawyer is that they haven’t received any updates. That was Wednesday this week. Do you know more details on the WAC series?
