    Hi Friends,

I have applied for H1B Visa this year for the first time. My sponsor had given me an update saying my file has cleared the lottery system but I am still awaiting for the receipt no. It’s been almost 2months since the lottery clearing status. Is there any delay in this process and is anyone facing the same situation like me who haven’t received the receipt no? I am not even sure if the file for cleared through lottery in first place as I do not have any solid proof for it!! Pls help!

My employer mailed yesterday that my petition got selected in lottery but not able to reach him to get more details like receipt number.
non AD/RP/VT. Last two years I was not picked in lottery.

Guys this year USICS has received more than 230 K applications. Results will come out little later this year as compared to last year. I received case no in first week of June last year. So hold your horses guys. And always remember if God closes the door, then opens the window to get put and reach out to your dreams.

    Oficial USCIS release says:
Before running the lottery, USCIS will complete initial intake for all filings received during the filing period, which ended April 7. Due to the high number of petitions, USCIS is not yet able to announce the date it will conduct the random selection process.
    So, lottery still pending..

I need to change the starting date of her new H1B from Oct 1 to Next Jan due to pregnancy. Can I ask my company to file an amendment for updating the new starting date? Normally, how long it will take for the amendment to be approved.

  10. RK

Yesterday, HR received my H1B Rejection Letter.
Last Year and This Year: my H1B application didn’t pick up in the lottery.
    Next year, I won’t apply for H1B.

Planning to file for Canada PR.

My Employer states that they still haven’t heard anything regarding by application lottery results, neither won nor rejected. They also say they cannot confirm on rejection until they receive my application package returned. They say they cannot give me any details of application submit acknowledgement for me to verify if my visa was applied. The anxious wait is making me restless now. I want to work on my Plan B if my application has not won the lottery. How to proceed on the status check, any help/suggestion is highly appreciated.

  12. chanakya

I got my visa approved in premium processing on 1st may , but I am still waiting for i 797 package to be shipped, my lawyer hasn’t received it yet. Anybody like that?

I have filed my petition for fy15 under regular quota & I see no update from my employer all this days….is their any chances or everything is wrapped up for this year ?

now I have a bad feeling that if my employer really has processed my petition or just fooling around, this is the first time i am applying so can any one tell how would I know if he has done good thing for me ….I have tried asking him for sharing LCA and I see weird answers, any online tracker can tell me ?

      1. aspirant

Now that my situation changed but still a bad feeling continues….I have got my receipt number from my employer last week and surprisingly I see RFE in the status 🙁 …..

In the status window it is not showing my name or anything if feel its surprising ? Also, my employer told me to send degree transcripts, tuition fee receipts and last 3 months payslip ?

going round and round with my collage 🙁

One of my friend who got through H1B lottery this year now is shifting to kuwait and doesn’t need or lets say not interested in H1B and is quitting the company.

I didn’t get through H1B lottery this year and the same company has applied for both us via Fragomen.

Can the petition be transferred to me ? Before the petitions are sent back ? can anything be done?

    1. Rohan

Nothing can be done. Its a wasted application. There would be over 80,000 People willing to buy that H1 from your friend if it was possible….

      1. Rohan

Hypothetical question, I know its all case to case basis, but what would be the max one can get if they could sell their own H1?

  15. kumar

    Hi Saurabh,

My application was picked in lottery and got RFE on may1st. We responded to RFE on 05/26/2014. Mine was premium processing. My company is moving to new location on 06/02/2014 in the same city.(same job responsbilities) Do we need to file new LCA or amendment for my H1b because of changing address.

My H1b is still in process , does this address change effect my H1b approval? Please suggest.

    1. JK

      As the city and state is same, i dont think you need to file LCA…Even if its required….can be done once your petition is approved. it wont impact ur h1b process…cheers…(o;

  16. Karan

Is there anything called a waiting list? Each website has a different take on it but is there something called a waiting list??

  17. Sal

Guys still not heard anything and the worst part is that the attorneys give a standard email saying we cannot give you any info. its still being processed, check tracker for further updates. Cant they be honest and tell me its a bit too late now.

Please tell me what to do. Cant just sit there like a dumbo and not look at other options so please advice me with a Plan B.

Also and EGAN people have any information please feel free to share. I am soo not happy and really dont know what to think or make out of this situation. Please respond….

As a side note have there been cases that have been accepted late? as in is there still hope or we are just waiting for our packets to be returned at this point in time….

    Any help would be appreciated!!!

    1. chanakya

90% are the chances that you are not picked up this time. Without wasting a single moment here on, start thinking of and working on plan B. Don’t wait and screw yourself, if you still get lucky and get picked up now, that’s bonus.

    2. Egan too

Hi Sal, same thing here, no actual news from Egan, just the standard mail. Is it really too late? Were all the acceptances informed yesterday?
