H1B 2018, 2019 Season is over, H1B 2020 Season Starts on April 1st, 2019.  Check out H1B Visa 2020 – Start Date, Fee, Lottery – FAQs

If this is your first year of H1B visa filing, you must read What is H1B Visa, Requirements, Process . Not to scare you, Last year, there was lottery for H1B season and for FY 2017 USCIS received 236,000 applications .

When does H1B Visa 2018 Season Start ?
Update : USCIS accepted H1B Petitions for FY 2018 starting from April 3rd, 2017 until April 7th. They updated that H1B Cap was reached on April 7th, 2017.
Typically, USCIS accepts H1B petitions for next fiscal year starting from April 1st. So, for FY 2018, the start date for accepting applications would be April 1st, 2017.  But, for FY 2018 season, April 1st falls on a Saturday, so USCIS will accept applications starting from Monday, April 3rd, 2017.   If you were wondering why called 2018, when in 2017, it is the fiscal year dates that dictate that. USCIS fiscal year is from October 1st to March 30th. So, technically the fiscal year for 2018 starts from October 1st and they accept petitions for the same 6 months before the start date and it would be April 1st, 2017.  You may read USCIS Press release for H1B 2017 Start Date

What is H1B 2018 Quota ? Regular Cap vs Master’s Cap Quota ?
Update : USCIS confirmed the below quota cap numbers in latest press release for FY 2018.
To get some background, read H1B Quota – Regular vs Masters .  There have been many speculations on increasing the H1B Cap due to extremely high demand and bills proposed for the same in the past, nothing made it through. As of writing of this article, below is the H1B cap quota. We will keep this article updated as new changes come in.  The total H1B Quota as of today is 85,000 and it is split like below.

Regular H1B Quota  65,000
Master’s H1B Quota ( Only US Masters Degree Eligible) 20,000

Out of the above 85,000 quota, 6,800 are set aside for Singapore and Chile citizens as part of the free trade agreement between them. Also, check out the article with history of maximum H1B Cap from 1990 to 2017

H1B 2018 Lottery Predictions ?
It used to be a speculation whether we would have lottery in previous years, but in the past 4 years, lottery has become common. It is very likely that we would have lottery aka random selection for H1B 2018 season.  We have been writing predictions over the years and all of them have been accurate so far. Check out our H1B Visa 2018  Lottery Predictions – Data Analysis  to get an idea on how many H1B petitions you can expect for this fiscal year.

When to plan for H1B 2018 Application – What should be your strategy ?
It is never too late to start planning…Depending on your situation, you may fall in one of the below categories and the suggestions are described below.

  • F1 Student in USA : If you are studying on F1 visa and about to graduate in next one year, you should seriously look at finding an internship or co-op at companies that can sponsor your H1B visa. You can search for H1B Sponsors in a particular area using our H1B Sponsors Search Tool and try to get an internship to work there on CPT or OPT after you graduate. This is a strategic move and will require sometime, so plan well.
  • Working Professional from outside USA : If you are a working professional outside US, planning to work in US, especially  on H1B visa, your best bet is to find Multinational companies ( MNCs) that have major US presence and secure a job there, so that you can position internally for applying to H1B visa, when the season starts. This is a very strategic decision, you need to carefully assess your options, speak to the company if such options exist and then only choose it. There may be many people already in-line for these visas, you need to plan carefully so that you are given a slot in the company’s filing for your next season application.
  • Other H4, L1 Visas :  If you are on these visas living in USA, your best bet is to find companies just like I mentioned for F1 students that sponsor H1B visas and start interviewing and keeping the conversation going so that you can ask them to file H1B when the season starts.

For FY 2017, we have put together a Step by Step Plan on How to apply for H1B 2017 Quota, it gives a guideline on the planning and what steps exists.

How to find H1B Visa Sponsor for FY 2018 quota ?
This is probably the most asked question by everyone. It can be a tricky decision, you need be very careful to avoid fraud.

  • If you are student in the US, it is very straight forward, you find the list of H1B Sponsoring companies using the tool in an area as I mentioned above and get an internship in one of them so that they can sponsor your H1B visa.
  • If you are professional planning to arrive in US from outside America,  it can be really tricky.  If you work for an Multinational company ( MNC), then they will have some internal process to pick the candidates and then process H1B visa for them…The other option that has been used and abused is the consulting companies route…Many a times, the H1B aspirants approach a body shop IT consulting company to file H1B for them and they apply for the same. It gets nasty with the body shop consulting companies.  The comments on this H1B Companies Reviews article are quite eye opening. I advise, you beware of the consulting companies and avoid fraud.
  • Also, WE as RedBus2US do NOT provide any guidance or assistance or sponsor anything. If someone claims that, it is pure fraud and they are trying to trick you, we are not responsible for that. Please be careful

We have an article that we wrote for previous season, you may read article How to find H1B 2017 Sponsors to find out various options.

What is H1B Visa 2018 Fee ? How much does it cost for the company ?

The H1B fee varies by the size of the company..As of FY 2017 season, it can range anywhere from $1,600 USD to $7,400 USD + Attorney Fee. On December 23, 2016 , USCIS increased the H1B fee component of base filing fees, which was $325. The below table is updated with the latest fee updates from USCIS.  There are various fees components that make up this number range, for more details Read Summary of H1B Filing Fee 2017 – Who pays for What ? . Below is a high level summary from FY 2017 quota.  If any changes, we will update this accordingly.

H1B Fee Component Fee in USD
 Base filing fee $460
AICWA Fee $750  or $1,500
Fraud prevent & detection fee $500
Fee based on Public Law 114-113 ( if applicable) $4000
Premium processing fee (Optional) $1,225
Immigration Attorney Fee Varies from $500 to $3000

H1B 2018 Lottery Results – Checks Cashed, Receipts :
One of the most asked questions is when will I get to know the lottery result for my petition. Well, this depends on many factors and there is no set SLA or date.  To put things in perspective,  last year, USCIS did a news alert indicating that they have returned all the rejected H1B petitions on July 8th, 2017. So, you can expect the last date for receiving final lottery decision around mid July 2017. …As we had about same number of petitions filed for FY 2018, it may be slightly earlier or even later in July or even early August 2017…  Few of the ways you would know, if you are selected in lottery is that, if the check that was filed with your H1B petition was cashed, or your employer gets the actual physical receipt notice in mail to them. If you filed under US masters quota, SEVIS update is another indication that you were selected in H1B lottery for FY 2018.  Ideally, your receipt numbers should arrive within 1 to 2 months…but, you never know, until you get a reject notice to be sure !

H1B 2018 Case Tracker  :
Did you apply for FY 2018 ?  With premium processing suspended, it is quite hard for applicants to know the general status of everyone to understand their situation. We have put together a tracker along with good graphs for analysis. It is completely anonymous as we do not capture your case number or any personal information. It is community contributed data, the more you add, the better for everyone, including  You !

New President Trump Administration Impact on H1B Visa 2018 Quota?

We do not know, if this news release is directed by Trump administration or not…but, on April 3rd, 2017 the start date of H1B season, there were set of new announcements made by USCIS to report and prevent abuse of H1B program. Check out USCIS New measures to report, prevent H1B Fraud  . Besides this, as of the today ( article updated date), nothing has been officially ordered or specifically implemented by New President Trump Administration. There are many speculations on how H1B program will become tougher with higher wages, quota limits, etc… but, nothing has been officially signed. We will update the article as new updates come in.

Various H1B Bills  in US House and Senate  – Will they be passed for FY 2018 ?
There are few bills that are introduced in 2017 and at various stages in both house and senate. There are many confusions regarding the same bills like the minimum wage will go up to $130,000 USD, etc.  Fact is that nothing has passed and there are very slim chances for them to get passed before start of FY 2018 season. You can check H1B Bills Tracker to get more details on current status. We will keep the article updated as new things are passed.

  1. Sourav/active forum participants,

Considering the current situation where we are assuming that regular processing is going to take a lot of time(7-8 months or more in worst case) to get approved petition, I want to understand how employer is going to manage in case he wants his candidate to start working from 1st Oct? And in case RFE comes than it will lead to further delay. Don’t you think it’s simply going to impact the business?

  3. H1B 2018 cap is reached on the fourth day of the normal five days, earmarked
for accepting the petitions . And let’s assume that the no of petitions received
at the end of the fourth day to be around 90k – 100k . ( a few thousands above
the cap ) Let’s take the average no of petitions received per dayto be 25k. (100k in four days and so an average of 25k) So taking into account of the fifth day
petitions to be received ,the total no should be around somewhere between
    115k – 125k. ( 90k +25k or 100k + 25k ). Even in case of random selection
the probability for selection is more. And the scrutiny is going to
be tough and there is a very high chance of ineligible and fake petitions
getting denied this time. (People next in queue would be considered) I hope therefore ,all genuine guys would be in this time. THE VERY BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL. GOD BLESS.

    • I dont understand this. In the last previous years USCIS have announced their cap reached date on exactly the fifth day once they start accepting application.

Last years it was record high petition count and the year before that was a little low. So assuming the petition count based on the day when the cap has been reached doesn’t make any sense. I would love see the final count as you have mentioned but rationally speaking, its not gonna happen.

      Hoping for the best

      • Most of the people agree with the one point that the no of petitions

would be less than the last year due to several factors which we are all well

aware of . We find words like ‘ reached ‘ and ‘ sufficient ‘ in the USCIS

news release which support our theory. ( nothing to imply random selection

or lottery ). But how much it would be less this year, is a point of contention.

We are all nowhere near rationality when we make predictions like this. It’s

all based on assumptions, gut feeling , intuition etc., In a way we all share

        our anxiety

      • The max no of days USCIS will keep the window open is till they reach the 65K cap. Also the start of next year (1st April). which ever is the shortest.

And for the minimum days – USCIS keeps the window open for a minimum of 5 working days. no matter how many application they receive.

  5. Friends,

Any idea if the border force and USCIS data is linked? I’ve entered US on B1 visa trice and stopped all 3 times for second screening…May be something to do with the surname Khan. Don’t see any other reason.

Applied H1B visa this year and wondering if the system is programmed to exclude certain in-built checks. I know there will be lot of Khan’s and other controversial names/surnames, but just worried if it’s a matter of worry and can impact chances.

    Thanks

    • AM,

Based on your name, your petition “may” go through additional security review. As you were stopped all 3 times for additional screening, it maybe possible that names matches to someone else.

  6. Please let’s keep to the Metric numbering system and not the Indian number system. It is very confusing to see 1,00,000 and think I just saw one million whereas it is just 100,000. Let’s me aware that this is a forum for everyone and not just for Indians who may be used to such a number system. Thank you for all your insights and continued comments.

  7. Guys just Chill !

I am the 3rd time applicant with 7 plus years of experience in a leading MNC, and we all are on the same boat and my whole and soul reason to travel to US, is to improve my financial status.
People on the forum being silent from a long time is a clear indication of the anxiety levels being sky-high. I can completely understand the emotions of the whole lot of deserving people.
I do pray to God that all the deserving ones get through this time. But a few clarifications here from my end on the updates been posted earlier:

    1. For the year 2013 (FY-2014) the number of LCA’s certified were 4,12,973. Out of which the LCA’s filed by the companies (valid ones – REASONS MULTIPLE/UNKNOWN) were 1,24,000. Out of this 1,24,000, there was a LOTTERY done as the count exceeded the 85,000 mark.

    2. For the year 2017 (FY-2018) the number of LCA’s certified were 4,16,907. Out of which the LCA’s filed by the companies “COULD be” around 1,00,000 to max 1,30,000. So LOTTERY still COULD be done, but you will definitely have greater chances and mark my words, the chances of the deserving people will grow in the YEARS to come as well !

But, I have a few additions to the reasons for the low LCA count in 2017 (FY-18):
    —————————————————————————————————-
    1. For valid ones – REASONS WHAT ALMOST EVERYONE KNOWS in this forum are the discussed ones.

    2. I have a couple of new updates today. I was waiting for the confirmation to post it.
    A. The entry level (the obvious reason being the recent turn of events of low wages and them being the bulk of filing from companies. Yes my friends, the companies already have a nerve of the turn of events and did not filed for these less experience people when the filing was done post March 31st, 2017).
    B. The much higher level ones have been left out of the LCA filings. (now here the reason, what I am presuming could be the higher pay they may end up getting while they get posted in US, which could be detrimental to the client and the company, as a few of the companies in the long run may run into losses on account of the same. This is JUST MY THOUGHT!)

[The source in my case are the actual people who belong to both the segment – A. Entry Level and B- the ones who are Senior to me. The only update I got from the affected people , is that they have personally send out a mail to their case managers and have got a response as there case has not been send forward for filing post March 31st, even thought they were among the fortunate few being nominated with all the Different Known reasons earlier (data size of my analysis is not many , but these are facts & no-cooked up stories)] .

These above are facts and not figments of my imagination and they have already happened very quickly, before we could wink. And for all those who feel that it will happen in FUTURE and not THIS YEAR, you guys need to WAKE UP !

If the above are the pointers from my company, I have a strong belief that the same would have descended down to all the major companies and also to the fake ones. This could bring down the numbers drastically.

I am posting the COMMENTS today, BUT in the coming week you will KNOW the TRUTH !

Its my Gut feeling ! Let all the deserving souls get it event though there is a LOTTERY (random selection from the available count) ! Amen ! 🙂

    Reply
    • I agree to most of the points you have stated.

The numbers are speculated to come down because lower level job filings were pulled out. But,they can be replaced by some experienced candidates of the same company.

I’m telling from my own personal experience which happened last week in my office. I work for a leading MNC with 6 years of experience. After the news for computer programmers broke out, a few experienced (10 plus exp) candidates were asked to initiate their visas and this happened on 4th of April 2017 just two days before the window closed.

The reason for this could be to fill up the void created after the withdrawal of “computer programmer” petitions.

So in my opinion, the numbers will more or less remain the same.

Let’s wait and watch. All the best guys. May the deserving candidates get through.

And so do i believe all of you too… many of the threads predict total petitions to be lesser thn 150k. Some explains with their math, some says their gutt feel.. amd some says they have some one to know the inside info..;)

I was on L1 for 5 years..2010 to 2015. I got H1b in 2015 in lottery among 185k, but that added only 1 year. And I came back. Now my company applying it again. I am hoping this time too… wish you all a good luck …

    • If you have an approved I-140 and H1B, you could have extended H1B till you get your green card.

Companies who consider their employees to be an asset/high-skilled file for green card as soon as they land in US.

Companies who treat their employees as temporary/low-skilled workers will never apply for green card.

  10. How USCIS Determines If an H-1B Petition Is Subject to the FY 2018 Cap

We use the information provided in Sections 2 and 3 (or Part C) of the H-1B Data Collection and Filing Fee Exemption Supplement to help us determine if a petition is subject to the congressionally mandated cap of 65,000 H-1B visas (commonly known as the “regular cap”). An exemption from the H-1B cap for beneficiaries who have earned a U.S. master’s degree or higher (commonly known as the “advanced degree exemption”) is available until the number of beneficiaries who are exempt on this basis exceeds 20,000.

    Where do I find it?

What version of Form I-129 are you using? Find Sections 2 and 3 (or Part C) of the H-1B Data Collection and Filing Fee Exemption Supplement on:Revision date on/after Oct. 23, 2014,Pages 19-21

      • Unfortunately no. I know this isn’t what anyone likes to hear but no. of petitions exceeded the cap, so they need a way to select a few. Anything other than the lottery will just lead to lawsuits because they didn’t provide advance notice. I strongly suggest not reading too much into their press release wording because there’s really nothing they can do other than a random lottery that’s not going to invite complaints/lawsuits.

There absolutely will be a lottery. You’ll see them announcing this along with some statistics next week after all petitions from today have been counted.

Good luck! May the odds be in your favor…

        Reply
        • Lottery is alright. But who says it will be random. Why do you think they are obligated to tell you the algorithm behind lottery selections? They will just tell we did a lottery, go file any litigation if you can prove otherwise.

          Reply
        • When the first news release from USCIS came on 15th March and there was no mention of lottery, many said that USCIS is waiting for the new administration to take some decision and hence there is no mention of lottery.

No new orders were passed by the new administration. So everyone was expecting that lottery will be mentioned in April 3rd news release. But on April 3rd, they came up with a memo for computer programmers and preventing abuse of h1b visa but no mention of lottery. So many people said that lottery will be mentioned in April 7 news release but even that did not happen.

I don’t think USCIS will forget to mention lottery in all the three memos unlike last 3 years. All these events are indicating that it may not be a random lottery this y
          ear.

          Reply
        • If they need to provide advance notice about how to select petition, then this year they didn’t mention anything about lottery. If they use lottery to select petition, why that would not invite lawsuit?

You may say because they do lottery in previous years, but it might be too careless just to “assume”.

          Reply
          • There was a lawsuit filed few weeks back against the H1B lottery. The court dismissed the lawsuit. But the court clearly said that lottery can be one of the option to distribute the visa. But USCIS is free to to choose any other method to allocate visa if that gives preference to american workers.

So USCIS has the flexibility to use other mechanisms to allocate the visa.

      • The announcement is made on the fourth day saying that the cap has been
reached. Let’s assume the no be somewhere 90k and 100k. So taking into
account of the fifth day application ( which can be roughly between 20k
and 25k as an average ) the no should be around 125k. I may be completely

The USCIS merely said it has reached the congressionally mandated 65,000 visa H1B cap for foreign workers for the financial year 2018 and that it had also received sufficient number of H1B petitions to meet the 20,000 visa advanced degree exemption. The agency did not say how many petitions it had received in all.

In previous years when it closed the process early, it had revealed the number of applications it had received 236,000 in 2016, 233,000 in 2015, and 172,500 in 2014.

It seems no lottery or some other way to allot visas.

    Reply
    • USCIS has never revealed the number of application on the 5th day press release. Wait for next week, possibly Monday or Tuesday, to get further updates on number of applicants based on last 2 years of USCIS press releases.

About lottery, this year USCIS hasn’t mentioned anything on 5th day press release; the whole section about lottery is dark so again hold on to next week (hopefully) to get full picture.

However , if the number of application is even one more than 65,000 for overall cap and 20,000 for masters cap(Which is most likely the case)- then according to the USCIS H1B regulation, lottery is the only method to decide.

This has been clarified by many law firms.

    Reply
    • Law firms are simply citing the USCIS website based on the previous years. Law firms are not fortune tellers, and cannot predict what the procedure will be for the next selection. Therefore, if you ask now a law firm “what is the procedure for H1B 2018” the honest answer will be “we do not know”. The most common response will be the previous year projection – lottery.

H-1B cap numbers and the cap exemption of 20,000 for holders of U.S. advanced degrees. Though the precise number of cap filings has not yet been disclosed, USCIS officials have indicated that the overall volume is lower than last year’s record 236,000 submissions.

See comparing the last two years, this year, the only difference is the 2nd and 3rd para and off course a few additional information at the end.

Please mark these below lines have been excluded from FY-2018 News Release, not to make us guess, but rather to use our brains and clear all our inhibitions that “THERE WOULD STILL BE A LOTTERY”. The Answer is a Big NO”

The following lines absence is not a co-incidence but a fact for FY-2018 filing:
    ———————————————————————————————–
USCIS will use a computer-generated process, also known as the lottery, to randomly select the petitions needed to meet the caps of 65,000 visas for the general category and 20,000 for the advanced degree exemption.

USCIS will first randomly select petitions for the advanced degree exemption. All unselected advanced degree petitions will become part of the random selection process for the 65,000 general cap.

So, guys have faith in God and keep your fingers crossed. If you are one among the few who have been fortunate enough to be in the safe hands of right employer and fall under the experience category, as per the recent notification of USCIS, then God would definitely have something good for you in store !!!

I have went through some of the threads and it seems like ppl have assumed big outsourcing firms just flood the H1B quota with mediocre guys. While, it might be the case to a certain extend , I cannot buy the idea that a large portion falls in that category.

On the contrary I cannot also let it in for a second that, all MS guys are by default skilled enuf to be part of H1B market. I work for a pretty big outsourcing firm and my firm recently hired an MS guy from a reputed college out of Colarado, and he is just a newbie to the coding world. My offshore counterpart who is just 3 yrs experienced has a better skill in coding than the one who did MS .

I dont understand how ppl just assume MS guys can take H1B eligibility for granted, cos H1B is after all for the SKILLED and not for the QUALIFICATION.

What USCIS clearly says is, putting Americans first and that is regardless of the qualification and I dont think getting an additional qualification makes them irreplaceable.

So a law to prove the SKILL would be a better idea than having a junk load of qualifications and taking H1B for granted 🙂

After the H-1B cap filing season for fiscal year (FY) 2018 concludes, USCIS plans to publish a report on the H-1B visa petitions submitted for FY 2018 along with data about the petitions. We also plan to create a web-based, searchable platform for the public to better understand how H-1B visas are being used.

Irrespective of whether there is a lottery or not, USCIS is going to open all petitions to provide the data. The question is does it make sense to open all the petitions before/after the lottery?

My take is that they will just take the first 60+20apps in the order they were received that that’s it. There will be no lottery, just if you were lucky to get into the first 60+20 they you will be considered.

The truth is brutal, but we have to live with it.

      • GM,

If they want to change the acceptance window from 5 business days to less, then they should have made an announcement for that.

Beside one center in on the east coast and the other is on the west coast. If they want to close the door real time, it would be unfair to those applying in the west coast.

In the past, they have accepted the petitions for 5 days including the last day. I don’t expect them to deviate from that. In 2017, they made the announcement sometime before noon, but still accepted petitions until end of the day.

IMO, if they don’t want to use a true random selection but use different parameter(s), they should call that out for transparency and accountability. Yes, the words “lottery” and “random selection” have been dropped from all announcements until now. Hopefully next week they make the announcement about the numbers, they would provide more clarity on how they are selecting candidates.

Due to the high number of petitions, USCIS is not yet able to announce the date it will conduct the random selection process.”

But this year’s news release is so vague that we can hardly make any sense out of it.

      2. Filter by
      a. FY-2017 (as this is the year, which you need to enter. if you filter by FY-2018, there would be zero results.
      b. The Employer name as “Infosys”.
      3. You will get the total count of “Certified LCA’s” = 16107. Out of these all the LCA’s would definitely be not filed for sure. I can’t predict though the exact count of how many your company would have filed.

      4. For your reference filter by:
      a. FY-2016
      b. The Employer name as “Infosys”.
      3. You will get the total count of “Certified LCA’s” = 26915. Out of these all the LCA’s would definitely be not filed for sure for the year 2016 as well.

So, this highly questions you claim of the 30,000 LCA Applications as well the same being filed for 2017.

          • its not targetting indians in general lot indians are actually good in software….. the problem is there are some temporary jobs in USA and some low end jobs which american firms cant find workforce for either its too expensive bcz its temporary since they have to pay for entire salary of american employee i.e 80k+ addition to that they have to pay benefits for job of 6 month its isnt feasible there are lots of jobs like this in the USA, the project is just 2 months in some cases, thats where these consultancies come into play the consultancies are from only one state called Andhra pradesh and few are from bangalore who are involved in this bcz big USA firms use them since its beneficial for both. So blaming indians or indian firms is not right think or stereotyping. Cant blame even american workers for complaining, american firms do share some of the blame trying to make profit instead of hiring americans full time.

          • professional. not indian.,

What gave you the impression that I want a lottery? I want TRANSPARENCY.

In the end only 85K will have smiles on their face, doesn’t matter to me which 85K are selected. However, the whole process would have been easy for everyone if agencies are more transparent in their process.

And I know this is not an Indian specific forum. Over the last several years lot of posters have asked questioned (and hopefully got satisfactory responses) from all over the world.

      Promoting Transparency

Transparency about how the H-1B program is being used is vital to ensuring accountability for employers and improving policies and practices that protect American workers.

  38. Has Anyone got their case processed viz. Approved/RFE asked with REGULAR processing recently (in last 2 weeks)?
I just wanted to check as I had seen most of the cases are with PREMIUM processing progressed.
Please share it. Thanks in advance.

    • I really doubt they will move ahead with the regular processing for one more week. I think you will start seeing some movements after 17th April.

  39. I am a bit confused about this lottery process.

if lottery is done and they select 65K petition, and later they find these petitions not eligible or they reject it for some reason , how witll those seats get filled?

or they are just wasted? and does it mean that 65k ppl dont end up in usa?

Even last year many people asked the same question, the answer is “Yes” just wasted.
      * Not eligible petitions selected in lottery
      * Rejected offers of Multiple approved petitions for single person
      * Petitions rejected on visa interview
      * Pettitions rejected on POE
      * Simply all petitioners who couldn’t make it after lottery selection
All are waste they will not be filled back o

      • Now this makes the whole “LOTTERY” process even more ridiculous. How can US gov do such stupid things.

So I believe hardly 30K odd h1bs must be granted every year…

also a lot of idiots must be getting lucky in this (scamsters)

probably only 15 -20k eligible ppl must be ending up in US..

Such poor execution by the so called “Great” country.. 😛

        • As previously discussed in this forum, it would be good if UICIS picks up some buffer numbers in the lottery. But its not a transparent process, so we will never know whether they did so or not.
