  1. Just got receipt for AD/RP/CSC hour back. SEVIS was not updated when i checked with school today morning .will pray to God for all AD people should make it for all the obvious reasons.

    • What is the Obvious Reason? All those who have applied should get and not only AD…. Please make sure you dont hurt anyone when you are happy…..

    • @SP – There could be obvious reasons for AD people, but there is much more for RQ guys who are battling for life for family and kids. Get a life bro.

  2. My colleagues are AD/RP/VSC
    their names are

    Cha*** Ab****
    Cha*** U*****

So they got their acceptance confirmation through email to attorney in a gap of 3 days and it looked like they did an alphabetical sort for last name. Though this evidence is not enough to draw any conclusion, can any of the RQ/RP/VSC guys post their first name and last name(in short cut) so that we know where we stand.

If my theory is wrong, please dont mine my ignorance.

      • @hahaha

i bet i could give a better reply, but considering the seriousness of hte forum i would suggest you to keep your views under control. a simple no could have answered it.

rather than what you wrote. and your name is definitely what you wrote, i m sure its worst than that.

  3. Guys

I think they definitely would be done by this week end.

By this Friday, they would have worked 15 weekdays since the lottery. Taking a conservative 6000 per day (very much conservative, since just VSC has been clocking almost 5K per day).

and for saturday, taking 2500 for both centers (again conservative)

    The total comes to (15*6k) + (3*2.5k) = 97,500

No way the receipt generation would go past this Saturday !!!

    • The actuals would mostly probably be

      (15 * 7K) + (3 *2.5) = 112,500.

In all probablity, we should be know the complete results by May 1st week for sure, assuming there is no communication delay by attorneys or HR’s

    • Well done LUCK! Although there are very few new PP generated from CSC, it is better than nill!!

      I’m RC/PP/CSC, still fantasising… 🙂

  4. I received this from my HR today: “Our finance team has confirmed that a check has been processed.”
Can someone explain to me what it means if the check has been processed??

    I’m AD/RP/Vermont

RP/RQ VSC be positive VSC is still processing, hope we all get good news soon 🙂

      • how this H1b process works

first checks got cleared then they will send recepit number

if check is not cleared and no one will get receipt

first check needs to be clear?

        Any one has idea?
        thanks

  5. Got news from my employer that, he received a i-797c letter from USCIS conforming that they have received the checks and they are processing the applications.

I dont have receipt number yet and checks are not cashed yet, and my DSO also told me that your status is pending, so that means they are still processing application… so guys keep your hope high.. will update my receipt number as soon as I get that..

    I am AD/RP/CSC

I also think they are processing application based on Last name…

    • they are dealing with physical packets; highly unlikely that they will spend time sorting out the packets based on last or first name and then issue receipts; its just a lot of extra work and waste of time

  6. Got my receipt – RQ/RP/VSC

My attorney just mentioned that all regular processing candidates have started receiving notifications since this morning, and they will for the rest of the week and next week as well. So all folks with regular processing, please stay positive!

  7. I called the ICE last Friday and the lady said I have a pending statues on my SEVIS record.
I then contacted my school but they did not see the receipt number on my SEVIS record.
I called my school on Monday morning and they still can’t see the receipt number.
Does anyone have the same situation with me?

      • I am ADV-NONPP-VT. I am not sure whether I was selected in the lottery or not. But it seems weird to me that my school still did not have any updates.
        Kind of worried about it.

        • @JTParis Its not mandatory to have an update on SEVIS even if you are selected in lottery. There was no update on my SEVIS either and I have received an email from my employer with receipt #, the next day. Don’t Worry! Have Patience and Good Luck!

    • I got the receipt number and my H1b is approved on April 16th. I forwarded the approval email to my DSO for new I-20 he said it will take 2-3 weeks to get updated.

  8. Just got my Receipt Number. I was Regular Processing, California Center, and Non Masters.
You guys on this forum have been a great help. Thanks alot. If you need any other information I would be happy to provide

  10. Regarding processing times. We all know uscis would start processing petitions in the order they have been received- in the case of lottery year it would be in the order of receipt numbers. Please correct me if wrong.
What would be the order wac 13 129******* first? Is 129 the first receipt date?
    Please shed some light.

    Thanks!

  11. It looks like VSC is still processing petitions today… Be cool guys!!!
I damn sure that this week will reveal more lucky winners for RQ/RP 🙂

Lets hope for the best 🙂

  12. i contacted the DSO last week and they got back to me today saying that the only thing they see on my record is “Application Pending”

  13. Been waiting patiently. Finally got my receipt number today. I actually found out by contacting my university. Then my employer later sent an email. Thank you God ! Don’t loose hope guys ! Wait patiently

    i am Regular processing/Regular quota/CSC

    • Ask your employer to check the back of the check for the receipt number, it is usually stamped there. The employer can check the images of cashed checks online.

  15. Hi All,

  18. Hi all,

I have been a silent follower of this forum for the last 2 weeks and it was very informative. I just got my receipt and I fall under AD/RP/Vermont center. Hope every deserving candidate gets through this ordeal and wishing them good luck!

    • non-AD/PP/CSC/Fragomen here.
I am not sure how many Fragomen folks got receipts for PP.
I am just in the hope Fragomen is holding all the receipts and will release it one fine morning and all of us using Fragomen will just magically get through.
      (No harm dreaming :))

      • I was also thinking on the same lines.. But there are people who got their receipts from them.. So i dont knw wat to expect.. Anyways hope we get good news soon…

        • Hey, I am AD/RP/CSC/Fragomen
No receipt as yet, but got confirmation from school. Call up your college, they can let you know within a minute. Fragomen gave me std reply – to keep waiting “patiently”

          • MY DSO said there is no update on my SEVIS.. Fragomen is asking me to be patient… I am sometimes loosing hope and again getting myself together and hoping for the best.

I just hope i receive some good news real fast…

            AD/RP/CSC/Fragomen

  19. I just got news from my DSO and they told me ur status is pending..can any one tell me what thats means. ..

  20. My Friend’s friend’s friend got his receipt today for VSC-PP-AD.
information seems to be reliable . will let you know if i can get receipt number to make sure.

i am in same boat as AD-PP guys . still waiting.

    • Bro, is it true?

      I am in AD/PP/VSC.

Its really painful. Unable to eat and its not going inside what ever I eat.

      God please help us.

    • congrats! could you tell me when did your H1B package reach USCIS? Also, did ur lawyer tell you or your employer?

      • Package was sent on 1st. My employer sent a mail few hours back saying that he has received my receipt today

        • What about the future?

Seems like today is also over.
So, stop thinking about H1 and concentrate on alternate ways.

Are you looking at some universities?
Please let me know I can also apply.

No job for 10months after graduating. Average loss: 50K
Now, no H1, back to school. again loss 30K approx.
Total 80k just to stay here.
          +student loan.
I don’t understand where I’m going. Such a huge loss at a very young age:(
          Can’t believe it. Really sad.

    • @ h1B,

My consultant I have made it through the lottery, but is not willing to give me the receipt number. Any suggestions please.

      • Sorry about the typo,

My consultant says I have made it through the lottery , but is not willing to give me the receipt number. He says the lawyer does not want to disclose it as the people like us will check the status online and bug him everytime. Does that makes sense?

        Thanks

        • If you are presently on OPT, you can contact your DSO and request them to give you the receipt no. available on SEVIS.

        • It doesn’t! Sounds sketchy to me. If they give you the receipt number, you could check on the status yourself and wouldn’t have to bug them.

          • There could be many reasons why Employer(Consultancy) doesn’t want to reveal the receipt no….. One of them could be : I think you’ll not be able to do H1-transfer with out receipt no. or I-797.

    • Me too, though no receipt number yet. I just got the information that my check got encashed.(RQ/RP/VSC)

  21. Hello,

My consultant says I am in and when I ask for the receipt number he is not willing to give says the HR do not want to disclose it, any thoughts. Mine was AD/RP/CSC.

    Thanks

  24. Hi all,

I posted last week that my SEVIS record had been updated, and today I received the official receipt from my lawyer with the same receipt number.

I was in the AD/RP/CSC quota. My application got there on 1 April. On the form, it says receipt date: 8 April, notice date: 15 April. I’m hearing today, 22 April. I am located in Northern California and the lawyer is in San Francisco.

The receipt number issued is WAC-13-133-5xxxx

Best of luck to all those who are still waiting!
Thank you all for the invaluable information from this forum!

    Nick

  25. Got a call from employer that they received the receipt number for my case…

    P.S.EAC-13-134-516xx

  27. yaar koi to post karo RQ/RP??????
can’t wait more than this week…I have lots of stress
my life is depend on this h1 only……

  28. Hey Guys, My Employer applied 19 H1B petitions. All regular quota and regular processing. They have received 11 out of 19. my name is not in the list of 11 🙁 Is there any chances yet ? Should I wait ? Worried because they got all 11 today…:-(

    • It would be very helpful if you can tell which processing center and which location your employer is based.

      • Employer is New Jersey. I’m not sure about the processing center. I just got the information that they identified by tracking the checks being encashed.

    • which employer ? vermont or cali ? who is the attorney .. would be helpful to answer with these details…

  29. just contacted my DSO and no updates about my AD/RP/CSC h1b application receipt 🙁

How long more should I wait ?

    • @emre what is a first latter of your Last name.. some people are saying that they are sorting application based on Last name.. If that is a true then I am still hoping for the best as my last name start with V..

  30. Hi Guys,
My wife employer just received her H1-B receipt. Her was AD/RP/CSC. The status says, it was received on April 8, and employer got receipt this morning from california center. One hurdle is down but no idea how long it will take to approve.
I was unlucky one on 2008, my petition was not selected in 2008 for AD/RP/VSC so I joined PhD, and hope to graduate soon.
    Good luck for you guys,
    Her receipt no is WAC1313253XXX

  31. I know this is really crazy wait.. I don’t think its possible for USCIS to finish sending all the 85K receipts in just 12 days. If we count 4K per day its still leaves 40k more to go. May be they have changed the receipt numbering system or they are on a holiday today or they are just processing the PP applications due to the deadline of 15 days.. But can’t be sure//

Also one of the important factors here is that if they already finished processing the H1b applications then there should still be the receipts for other applications like greencard,h1a,etc which get a similar receipt number. so we can conclude that its not yet over..

    I am still waiting AD/RP/VSC

      • Not all of ~4K receipts per center are H-1B petitions. On weekends they process far less receipts. So, 12 days are not enough for all petitions. Also consider the historical fact that last time in 2008 they took until June/July to get everything cleared up.

      • not all 8k are I129 petition… only around 70% are I129 hence its like 56,000 per day…
& hence it gonna take 15 working days… on Saturday they work but dont work with full capacity… around 2.5k across 2 centers…
My assumption is they gonaa finish all applications by thursday / friday…

  32. Regular quota / Regular processing / California center
    GOT MY RECEIPT TODAY!
    WAC-13-136-*****

    Submitted 04/01/2013
    Notice date 04/17/2013

    Case status: initial review

    • Where is your employer/attorney located ? Just want to know how much time does it take to reach the california centre to your place.

      • I’m located in the Chicago, IL area. So is my employer and lawyer.
The receipt was delivered via regular mail this morning.
I let the lawyer know that I got the receipt and she said they haven’t receved anything yet.

        • I am in Chicago too. I think I get selected as my SEVIS status is pending now. but havent heard any new from lawyer. still waiting

        • They just started issuing the RQ/RP receipts; I wasn’t even expecting mine (if at all…) for another couple of weeks. So you really shouldn’t stress right now. People are just beginning to get theirs. My husband also applied this year and we haven’t gotten anything for him yet. Plenty of time to wait before we become desperate…

    • Hi

Since you located at Chicago Why not Vermont ? Any reason to file at WAC ?

Companies in Chicago they file at WAC ? Not eac ?

      • I thought my application was supposed to go to Vermont; guess I was wrong 🙂 Not sure how it woprks anymore.
What I can tell you is that it’s NOT geography based (i.e. if you’re in Chicago than the application goes to California). Different types of petitions/processing go to different centers.

        • IL folks file at WAC.

If you will work in AK, AZ, CA, CO, GU, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, MI, MN, MO, MP, MT, NE, NV, ND, OH, OR, SD, UT, WA, WI, or WY then you file at USCIS California Service Center.

If you will work in AL, AR, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MS, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OK, PA, PR, RI, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, VI, or WV then you file at USCIS Vermont Service Center.

      • please stop all this contacting DSO thing..it’s not for sure that your sevis would be updated right after your case is entered. There are lot of ppl who got the receipts but their sevis did not change. Just stay put and wait for the receipt. All regular ppl are still in the race this week and maybe next week too! Good Luck!

        • Agree. If your OPT(or OPT extension) expires before Oct 1st, your status may updates shortly after your H1 petition is accepted. If not, your sevis will not update at once, even 2 or 3 days delay.

    • no need to worry.. i got my receipt on 4/19. but my application was processed on 4/15.. so if your application is processed in between 16 and 19, you should expect receipt before 4/26..

    • Dear Jack,
I’m still hopeful. Yes, according to me it is just starting. A few RQ guys here post asking ‘is it over? any hopes?’ …Those kinda posts are diverting you..Stay calm..We need to be patient till friday.

      Gracias

    • I’m RQ/RP/VSC and I don’t see any problem with waiting until the end of the month. Just an FYI… when I asked my lawyer on the 10th she said they should know within 2 weeks. In the mean time try occupy yourself with some other stuff and start looking into possible alternatives. After all the lottery has been done and there’s not much we can do to change the result. I would hate hate hate to lose this job but life won’t end here.

    • i know rite..until today morning i was sooo confident that i would get through the lottery but wen i came here n saw ppl saying shd we lose hope or is it over for us and crap,i lost all the hope and got negative and started looking for other options which sadly i have none coz i am on OPT extension .
there was a time wen browsing around here made me feel good and full of hope coz ppl were so postive n supportive but now it has become totally the other way round..this forum depresses you ever more:|

      • Stay strong!
My friend got hers today, she’s also RQ/RP/VSC. But we work for different employers and her receipt came in the mail. I’m asking her for the receipt # first few digits…
