Employer checked today and my checks are deposited by USCIS today in the morning! I am very excited now. Hope that I will receive the receipt notice by mail soon.

  2. USCIS has started the data entry process for H-1B petitions selected in the lottery. Premium processing cases are being handled first and data entry for those cases should be completed by April 15. USCIS announced on March 15, 2013, that the 15-day premium processing clock will start on April 15. (AILA Doc. No. 13031549) At the AILA Spring CLE conference on April 12, 2013, Donald Neufeld, Associate Director of the Service Center
Operations (SCOPS) Directorate, informed the audience that data entry for non-premium processing cases will begin after the premium processing cases are entered. Data entry for non-premium cases will likely not be completed until sometime in May, and rejection notices for petitions not selected in the lottery will be sent out after that. Please note that when the cap was reached on the first day in 2008, USCIS did not complete data entry and issue receipt notices until late in May. (AILA Doc. No. 08061261)

Non-premium processing cases can only be converted to premium processing after a receipt notice is issued.

  6. Ok guys question, are they sending post (mail) for regular processing to attorney or to employer? My attorney is in cali and employer in NY.
    My case is AD/Reg/Vermont.

  7. Check with your lawyer if your check is cashed. The following is the email I received from my lawyer.

“Our financial records indicate that xxx’s H-1B petition has been selected in the lottery as filing fees for his case was deposited by the USCIS. We hope to receive a receipt notice in 1-2 weeks. “

    • If you have an external lawyer (my company does), would the checks be made out by my company or our lawyer (to be reimbursed by my company)? Just wondering who to ask to look out for cashed checks.

      • @yours,

Even my compnay has an external lawyer.she said that the cheque was signed by the employer and they will be able to provide the details as to whether the cheque has been deposited or not.

  10. HI I saw this Link about the immigration bills article the last section ells about the increasing the cap for H1-b and other regulations, What are the chances of this happening and if this can happen how soon it can happen:

    http://news.yahoo.com/factbox-major-provisions-senate-immigration-reform-bill-041134663–business.html

    • I think so. They were entering PP receipts today morning. I saw a few while snooping around the USCIS case status.

Don’t give up yet. I am also in the same boat as you !

      Best of luck

        • I don’t have any at the moment but they were all in the 137-52xxx series of them (If i were to guess it would be around 10 – 15). I counted at least 25+ in the morning and around 50+ last night in the 136-54xxx series.

My hunch is that they are entering them in the order they were picked in the lottery.

These are all new applications and not transfers or upgrades,

    VSC
    AD
    RP

  22. AD/PP/CSC… I have not heard anything yet. Don’t know if they are still processing PP applications. I just hope to hear soon.
Is there anyone else waiting to hear from CSC — AD/PP case?

  23. Friends ,

Today I received RFE with respect to my case mine is regular PP.
Please let me know within hw many days my employer will get notice ,as status says we have sent mail today.

And also please let me know usually why we get RFE and possible RFE types kindly help.
I have given all required documents dont no what is missing

      • Rishi no currenlt its changed from RFE to initial review . How about urs did u come know what is ur RFE asking ?

    • Your lawyer should get an email at the same time….
as yesterday my h1b approved and my employer sent me email half hour after that…

    • RFE stands for Request for Information.
Usually USCIS would be requiring more details regarding your job/ positinon in the company.
They would be requiring additional documents. In my case a couple of years back my attorney mis filed my application and did not attach a document to the file. USCIS came back (RFE) to attorney requesting for the document.

Make sure your employer send the correct document for you RFE

  24. Jeremy :- I have sent a email to attroney and employer both asking them if they hear anything . If they received any receipt . Hope they come up with some good news. …

  25. Are they going to process all pp cases on 4/15/2013?
But it has already been 4/16/2013 my case is still in Acceptance stage.
Also this year is different than previous years which Initial Review came first before Acceptance but instead this year Acceptance stage first and Initial Review after.
Does anyone have any ideas why they have changed something like this?

    • That’s because acceptance stage is to let you know that you are selected in lottery. It will change to initial review with 2 business days but follow the corresponding center timings.

      • Thanks kandra.
I got my receipt on 04/08/2013 regular cap, PP, VSC.
And on Acceptance stage it stated: ‘On April 10, 2013, we received this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER… ’
But now it has already been 4/16/2013 my case is not moving forward. I am getting worried now.
Is anyone else still in Acceptance stage?

        • Hey 123. The funny thing about this is it will suddenly move to initial review or it will directly go to decision. You will get a decision with in 15 calendar days of the received date on you receipt.

  26. It is not my intention to give out false hope but I just want to say to those who are despairing or giving up hope that it’s not over till it’s over. My employer said a week ago that the attorney is expecting the results to come in in 2-3 weeks time. That would mean the earliest we(those of us applying under the company) would hear of anything is next week.

RP/normal cap here and still waiting. I share your anxiety as I too have been unnerved for some time by the lottery announcement initially. I hope those who are still waiting do not resort to despair just yet.

The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord. Cheers and may God’s peace be with those of us who are still waiting.

  27. Seems like they are still entering PP applications. Check this one out: EAC1313751204.

    Hope we all get in!

    (REG/PP/VSC)

        • AD/CSC/PP – still waiting too. I have been seeing receipts through snail mail for ppl on PP and all receipt updates until yesterday on USCIS also mentioned that recipients have been mailed as opposed to emailed previously, I suppose the only thing we could do at this point is to wait it out until Thursday/ Friday. I don’t think we should lose hope yet as many receipts processed yesterday said the petition was received on the 8th, so maybe California is in a backlog and taking its time processing applications. At the end of the day we have to keep hoping and praying guys, lets hope for the best.
