Companies that cannot Sponsor H1B visa for 2011. TARP impact on H1B sponsors for 2011

As most of you know, not all companies can sponsor H1B visas for 2011. Well, if you do not know, the simple reason is that they took bailout money. USCIS placed additional requirements for companies if they have taken money from “Troubled Asset Relief Program(TARP)”.  This additional law is in effect from February 17, 2009 through Feb. 17, 2011 and considered as strict rules for H1B filing companies in 2010 and 2011.  You can read the complete details in the news release at USICS “Questions and Answers: Employ American Workers Act and its Effect on H-1B Petitions

What does it mean to H1B visa seekers for 2011 ?

Effectively, your pool to choose from is much narrowed. Many of you might had hopes to join elite banking sector companies. But they all are out of picture. Especially, for F1 Students who had aspirations for full time employment.  Anyways, your goal is to eliminate all these companies from your primary list.  The list keeps updating at the Federal Government Website.  You SHOULD Check the companies listed here and take them out of your list for 2011 H1B visa sponsors. Check for the latest TARP  Transaction reports at Financial Stability.gov website. There are over 740 companies, that took TARP funds, I do not want to copy and paste the list here as it keeps changing.  You should refer to the latest TARP transaction report on the financial stability.gov website. The latest TARP transaction report is from January 4th 2010.
