When you travel to Thailand and go through Visa on Arrival Process, you would get a stamp in the passport. It is a big stamp that is put in your passport and has information regarding your visa and how long you can stay, etc. Below is the sample visa on arrival stamp and what various things in the stamp mean.

Thailand Visa on Arrival Stamp – Details, Meaning

The Visa on Arrival Stamp in passport has two stamps. One is a large stamp and there is another small stamp.  The Large stamp is put in passport by the Visa on Arrival Processing Officer and staff. The small stamp is put in passport by the Immigration Officer, who collects your Arrival and Departure Card. the Let’s look at each of them

Large Thailand Visa On Arrival Stamp in Passport by Visa team:

Below are the various aspects in the large visa stamp that is placed by the Visa On arrival Processing Staff.   

  • Serial Number : Serial Number in black ink , which is basically a serial number that is related to the number of visas issued or tracker for the Thai Immigration
  • Visa Category : It has the details of the Category of Visa on Arrival listed on it. As you can see below it says “TR 15”, meaning Tourist Visa for 15 days
  • Date of Arrival : It is the date of issue for the visa on arrival. It would be a stamp of the date related to the date you entered Thailand.
  • Employment Prohibited : It clearly tells that employment is prohibited
  • Sign of the Immigration Officer : It also has the signature of the Officer with wet ink.
  • Red Stamp of Thailand Immigration Bureau : The large stamp has a Red Immigration Stamp of Thai Immigration bureau.

Small Thailand Visa On Arrival Stamp in Passport by Immigration officer:

Below are the various aspects in the small visa stamp that is placed by the immigration officer, who collects your arrival and departure card.  

  • Visa Class : The category of the visa you are entering in. In the below stamp, you can see it as “TR 15”, same as the one on the large stamp
  • Entry Date : The date you were admitted into Thailand, which will be on the top
  • Admitted Until : The date until which you can stay in Thailand. It will be the date below the arrival date, it is a future date, which in the below stamp is 15 days from the date of entry.
  • Sign : The signature of the Immigration officer.
