Additional Info / Notes | My case F1->CPT -> H1b. Phd not yet graduated. Phd started in Jan-2012. I had changed my dept and had redo a lot of stuff. VO asked why are you not graduated yet? Why taking so long? Then started asking all the documents? W2, LCA, Transcripts. My bad i did not carry LCA and W2 but i had payslips for last 2 months. Other questions are standard, what is my job, employer details, company details. VO was concerned about me not graduating. VO asked to wait. One more call to chat with Indian lady, asking details of of My job, W2, ... Finally issued 221g blue asking to submit list of employees. In my case, probably i was not well prepared. I work for the employer directly, no consultant, and had my Masters already. But the way VO was asking questions, I got flabbergasted. All those W2 and company details, job details were already submitted as part of H1b application. My employer is not very big, with around 100 employees. So my guess is, they are trying to check the authenticity of the company and verify if the employer is H1b dependent. |
