221g blue slip for h4 visa - who need to send mail to US consulate?

Hi,

My husband works for X company and he is in US holding H1b visa. The X company initiated h4 visa for me and the appointment was scheduled on 22.11.2016. Yesterday I attended the interview and they issued 221g blue slip and my husband received a mail from US consulate that we need to submit sponsor letter, resume, contact person and previous travel. Who need to reply for this? The company who initiated my visa or my husband? Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone.

Usually H4 is your(beneficiary) owned visa. Means, you file and you get benefit out of it but your spouse’s employer also can file it.

For your 221G. Anyone(You, your husband or his company) can respond with the required documents to the consulate

Hi Swetha,
Any update on your case? Currently my wife is on same boat so can you please let me know below queries?
1. When did you get email from consulate?
2. Which consulate you have attended?

Thanks,
Rajesh.

Hi Swetha,
Any update on your case yet?

Thanks,
Rajesh.

They have issued my visa on 29.12.16 and they took four weeks of time to approve my application from the day of my document submitted.

All the very best.

Congrats on your visa. Hoping for the best.
