My mother last name is different in her passport

USA L1, L2 Visa

I am in US and sponsoring visitor visa to my parents.

 

My mother name in my passport as " firstname lastname(my father's first name)" (in mother name field)

my mother name in her passport as " firstname lastname(her father's name)"

 

Example:

in my passport "Mary Burlock"

her passport shows "Mary John"

 

Will it cause any issue. if yest what is the workaround.

 

Pls suggest.

You can amend your mother’s passport. Change her name there.

My friend did the same and depending on the country it might take time. Usually its pretty fast.
