I need to change the starting date of her new H1B from Oct 1 to Next Jan due to pregnancy. Can I ask my company to file an amendment for updating the new starting date? Normally, how long it will take for the amendment to be approved.

Yesterday, HR received my H1B Rejection Letter.
Last Year and This Year: my H1B application didn’t pick up in the lottery.
    Next year, I won’t apply for H1B.

Planning to file for Canada PR.

My attorney just confirmed that my application was not selected in lottery. Hoping for luck in future.

My Employer states that they still haven’t heard anything regarding by application lottery results, neither won nor rejected. They also say they cannot confirm on rejection until they receive my application package returned. They say they cannot give me any details of application submit acknowledgement for me to verify if my visa was applied. The anxious wait is making me restless now. I want to work on my Plan B if my application has not won the lottery. How to proceed on the status check, any help/suggestion is highly appreciated.

One of my friend who got through H1B lottery this year now is shifting to kuwait and doesn’t need or lets say not interested in H1B and is quitting the company.

I didn’t get through H1B lottery this year and the same company has applied for both us via Fragomen.

Can the petition be transferred to me ? Before the petitions are sent back ? can anything be done?

    • Rohan May 28, 2014 Reply

Nothing can be done. Its a wasted application. There would be over 80,000 People willing to buy that H1 from your friend if it was possible….

      • Rohan Jul 11, 2014 Reply

Hypothetical question, I know its all case to case basis, but what would be the max one can get if they could sell their own H1?

  • kumar May 28, 2014 Reply

    Hi Saurabh,

My application was picked in lottery and got RFE on may1st. We responded to RFE on 05/26/2014. Mine was premium processing. My company is moving to new location on 06/02/2014 in the same city.(same job responsbilities) Do we need to file new LCA or amendment for my H1b because of changing address.

My H1b is still in process , does this address change effect my H1b approval? Please suggest.

    Thanks,
    Kumar.

      As the city and state is same, i dont think you need to file LCA…Even if its required….can be done once your petition is approved. it wont impact ur h1b process…cheers…(o;

Is there anything called a waiting list? Each website has a different take on it but is there something called a waiting list??

  • gangaram May 22, 2014 Reply

Anybody who was in AD/PP/CA, got approval but yet to receive i-797 in mail package? I am still waiting.

  • Sal May 22, 2014 Reply

Guys still not heard anything and the worst part is that the attorneys give a standard email saying we cannot give you any info. its still being processed, check tracker for further updates. Cant they be honest and tell me its a bit too late now.

Please tell me what to do. Cant just sit there like a dumbo and not look at other options so please advice me with a Plan B.

Also and EGAN people have any information please feel free to share. I am soo not happy and really dont know what to think or make out of this situation. Please respond….

As a side note have there been cases that have been accepted late? as in is there still hope or we are just waiting for our packets to be returned at this point in time….

    Any help would be appreciated!!!

90% are the chances that you are not picked up this time. Without wasting a single moment here on, start thinking of and working on plan B. Don’t wait and screw yourself, if you still get lucky and get picked up now, that’s bonus.
