I have got an approval for 1 year on my I797B. offer letter was issued to me last year in the month of June 2012. What should I say if the VO asks me "why your employer is still waiting for you? why is the job position still kept vacant?"

Are you working for a consulting company? Then carry more recently dated documents including offer letter, client/project letter etc.

The employer could be waiting for you as they really liked your skillset and they don't want to lose out on a candidate.
