Changing DS-160 after confirmed appointment?

0 votes
Hello,

I have my B1/B2 visa appointment in a couple of weeks. I was not employed at the time of my application but I now have a job. Is it possible to edit my application now and not lose my appointment slot?

If so, how do I do it?

Thanks!

You can complete another DS form and carry both DS forms for interview. At the first window inside the consulate let them know about the changes and they should be able to swap the old DS# with the new one.

You can also call the consulate and confirm about it.

Thank you. Searching your solution online I find that it is possible to do that and also get a new appointment confirmation page printout using the new DS-160 #. Which website should I go to to do that? Thanks!
You have to complete another DS-160 form like you did for the first one. So you have to go to the same website.
I understand. But what I meant is, how/where do I associate this new DS-160 confirmation number to my current appointment so I can print out a new appointment confirmation with the new DS-160 number?
Do you want to schedule another appointment or go for this appointment only?

1. If you want to go for another appointment, then cancel the current one and schedule a new one using the new DS form.
2. If you want to use the same appointment, then complete the new DS form and go to interview on current date/time w/ both DS forms. Then inside at the counter show them the 2 forms and ask them if they can update the appointment w/ the new form.
3. I recently read on a lawyer's website that one is now allowed to change DS forms online for certain visa categories. You can see if B-1/2 is also covered under this and allows you to edit current DS form. If not, then go w/ (1) or (2)
