the form i129 there is an option for cap-exempt which mentions

(1)the beneficiary of this petition was granted h1b status within the last 6 yrs (2) is applying from abroad to reclaim the remaining portion of the 6 yrs

I believe this is the checkbox to be selected for the remainder option...

But I am confused with what is meant by "the beneficiary of this petition was granted h1b status within the last 6 yrs " does it mean the period of stay in the US?

If I was in the US from Oct 06- July 07 on an H1b , was I granted h1b status within the last 6 yrs?
