Is it safe to travel outside US with OPT valid status and H1B approved

Hi,

My OPT expires on NOV 2012 and F1 Visa expires on May 2013. I applied for my first H1B in premium processing and got an approval.

What is my Status now?

Can i got to India now and comeback before Oct 2012 ?

If I go to India should I go for H1B stamping ?

Please let me know
