H1b Transfer before Oct 1 COS from L1A approved

Hi Saurabh

I am on L1A currently with Indian large IT company.I have a COS approved now for H1B effective Oct 1 ,2012 from Company X.I am not interested to join company X as i donot see it to be a safe bet.I wanted to know if i can get the approved H1B transferred before Oct 1 to other good company? pls let me know.

Yes, another employer can file a cap-exempt petition for you along w/ COS. They can request start date of Oct 1. Once approved, you can join them from Oct 1.
