DS160 Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf

Last year my application was picked up in the lottery, then went into RFE and got rejected. This year my application got picked up in the lottery and I’m planning to attend VISA interview. While filling my DS-160 what do I need to choose for the below mentioned two questions?

  1. Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, or been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry?

  2. Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?

Also, my current employer wants denial notice of previous year’s application, which my previous employer doesn’t want to share. Would it be a problem for me?

Yes to question 1. No to question 2. Your present employer needs the information to avoid any mistakes. You can ask the previous employer if the reason for denial was your candidacy or something to do with project or company. Most employers don’t share this data when it reflects on their reputation, so in a way you already know the answer.
