F2 rejected 3 times while on OPT.H1B is applied.Convocation,Wedding Anniversary are near.Should go for F2 or B1/B2?

My wife’s f2 visa rejected 3 times at Mumbai. I am on OPT and currently my h1b is applied by my employer. My convocation and our wedding anniversary are coming in about a month and half. We are planning to reattempt. Need advice either we should go for F2 only or should try B1/B2 ? What issues can cause if B1/B2 got rejected? Will it affect if we we need to apply for f2 again ?

What reasons were given for F-2 denial?

When appearing for tourist visa, she may be asked why she is not appearing for F-2 as the spouse is in US on F-1.

At the end of interview in 2nd and 3rd time,my wife asked VO if he can give any reason. VO said “your file seems to be alright but we will not be able to process your visa this time.” This answer from VO gives more anxiety.

Any officer reviewing new stamping would have access to old notes and make a determination that the original reasons are no longer valid. It is not as easy as it sounds, and varies from case to case.

can you please let me know what happened to your wife’s visa?

Thanks

On 4th attempt, we applied for F2 visa only and by God grace she got the visa.

Thanks for your opinion.
We took 4th attempt and we applied for F2 visa only and by God grace she got the visa.

Thanks and congrats Adi! My fiancée is aware of the F2 rejection rate and is scared to go for it and come here on B1, but I was afraid that is not correct. F2 approvals like yours gives me some confidence:)
can you please share the questions asked in the interview?
