My lottery for H1B got picked up this year and I've received petition but I'm yet to stamp it. As my wife also got a L1B and I've an option to get L1B dependant and get EAD to work in US.

Now I'm confused and would appreciate advice on which one should I get stamped.

Can I work on L1 EAD seemlessly as compared to H1B, where fir every change in employer I need to file for transfer?

Also since petition is valid for another 2/3 years ... can I initially go as L1 dependant and later around its expiry I can get my H1 stamped for an extended stay, if it ever comes to that ?

Please advice.

I would recommend to go with L1 EAD first. there are many advantages than H1B.
