L1B-H1B Clock Reset : I came back to India on July -2014 from USA as my L1 visa(3 year 6 month) . i stayed in US for 3 year 5 month on L1B. Presently I am staying in India. Now My new H1B has been approved on 2015 year and I want to go to USA this year on September 2016.
Can the clock reset is applicable to me. Can i stay 6 years on my new H1B visa.
I was outside us for month than 2 year but when i came back 2014 July and i applied for H1B on April 2015.
My pettion got selected . i am curios if i can stay 6 years on my H1B this time ?

L1B Approved- 24 APRIL 2011 to 26 APR 2014 ( OLD L1B dates )
H1 B Approved 11 JAN 2016 – 01 AUG 2018 ( recent H1B dates)
Can i stay in US for 6 year on H1B ??

There was a recent experience shared where USCIS counted the time spent outside US until the H-1 filing date. So in your case H-1 was applied before 1 year cooling period was over.
Your clock would not be reset if that is the case.

I stayed on L1B on 3 years 2 month. As per 6 years rules , i can only stay on H1B for 2 years 10 months . My start date will start on port of entry date right or my visa date ?

Your remaining time will start once you enter US. Extensions can be applied until you have spent 6 years physically inside US on H-1 and L-1. If you need further extensions, then green card process should have been applied and reached certain stage of processing.
