Should I quit MS and reapply next year to a different university if there is a financial problem of paying current fees?

Background: I came to the US with great hopes of getting a quality education. However, after spending a semester in the program I feel my choice of university wasn’t good. Also, I have run into a few financial issues and my parents are finding it hard to sponsor my remaining education. They can only manage upto a certain point and I think they have now reached their threshold. Is it possible for me to go back to India and reapply to a relatively cheaper university next year? How feasible would this be and how would it affect my chances of getting the F1 Visa? Any pointers would be really helpful here since I feel stuck right now and totally hopeless.PS: I have a decent profile. GRE (317) TOEFL (109) and around 2 years of development in CRM Domain.

Well, if I were you, I would not leave the country and come back after a year…rather, I would try to find schools now and then apply to them now. It is much easier to manage finances when you are in US. Speak to your DSO and see, if you can get exception for Severe Economic Hardship and work off campus . Also, try to find scholarships in the schools you apply for…also, try to find positions on-campus that can give you full waiver of tuition. Usually, if you get TA, RA or GA, you would get in-state tuition or full tuition waiver as well depending on school…Explore all these options…You can also consider taking a loan from friends or seniors, if you have a choice. I myself took decent hand loan from my friends during MBA and then repaid the same after education…So, do NOT give up and return…you are better off finding something and transferring there…the advantage you have got is that you are in US…You should call admissions of other schools and seek transfer student admission, it is very easy to get that…you can skip the entire process of waiting like you do from home country…
