parents-visa-from-india while working on opt

Hey fellow students, I want my parents to visit me here in California, I am working since last August on OPT.

I would like to know the procedure documents and stuff like that, I have invitation letter ready, now I would like to know what should be my next step. My parents are well off and they will sponsor their own visit.

If any of you could help me regarding this it will be great, Thanks VB

You should be all set. Your letter of invitation / intent should be addressed to visa officer and not to your parents. They need to complete DS160 and proof of financial stability. Proof of health insurance will also be needed. You have to submit documents that indicate they will not cause hardship to you such as pay stubs, present living arrangements and average food cost (the last two items best detailed in the letter to consulate).

I am sure they will really enjoy their visit

Best wishes
