H4 visa after H1B visa was stamped 6 months back with validity till 2014

I have a valid H1B stamped visa till 2014( got the Stamped Visa back in Aug, 2011) with my previous employed with whom I worked in US. I came back to India and worked with an MNC here in India.Now I am married and want my wife H4 to be done so that I can fly back. Do I need to go along with my wife to the consulate for H4 stamping as I am also in India? As i haven't flown back to US after my stamping done, will it impact on H4 case?
