L1B to H1B transfer - Stamping required

Question

Hi,

Am currently on L1B (Visa is expired but the I-94 is valid till 2013) and have filed for H1B for 2013 in the regular processing  which is yet to be approved. Meanwhile I might have to travel to India by mid of Oct.

My employer who has applied for H1B is not a reputed firm, so am concerned about the stamping.

My question is Should i have my H1B stamped in India before I re-enter? If I didn't receive the H1B approval by Oct, I believe i should be in India till I get the approval notice.

Can you please confirm when you have a chance?
