USCIS website shows one month delay in application receipt date ?

Hi,

I have submitted my L1 visa extension application on April 15th 2012, however on USCIS website, the date of application received is shown as May 20, 2012.

Can someone please help me understand:

(1) Is this how it reflects for everyone ?

(2) For calculating processing times, will April 15th be considered or May 20th be considered ?

(3) Apart from premium processing, is there any other way to fasten the process ?

USCIS status page is not always accurate. However, there could have been delay in accepting the petitions due to large number of H1B petitions received by USCIS during that period.

As far as I know, Premium Processing is the only way to expedite the process.
