Does H1B acceptance depend on the company's previous applications?

Question

I am currently on OPT, and I have an offer letter from a well-established company. They normally do not apply for H1B for anyone, but due to their current need, they have agreed to do that for me. So I am the first person they have ever applied for. Is this going to affect my chances of acceptance? I have a PhD and the company's work is directly related to my background.
