My Emplyer says fresh H1B filed on 5th April 2012..Till now no Receipt

Hi ,

My employer updated that they have filed my H1B petition(Fresh) on April 5th 2012 ..But till now I did not get the recept date/Employer did not update the recept number...what could be the possiblities?

If your petition is filed on the mentioned Date, USCIS will send the reciept within 7 days. Please request your employer for the recipt number and the scanned copy of the recipt which will contain your name, receipt number and the date filed in.
