Employer/attorney should receive it within 1-2 weeks. Else they should call USCIS and check the status.

My H1B Petition is approved on 29th Nov. The hard copy of original Petition has not yet come. Could you please let me know how many days will take to get the hard-copy of the original petition?

H-1 amendment can take up to 2 months or more. Premium processing would take 15 calendar days. You don’t need to go for H-1 visa stamping again, as long as your previous stamp is still valid and has not expired. BTW, the LCA also needs to be re-certified for the new client and location.

Hi , I recently got my H1b petition approved from USCIS on 9th Dec (the hard-copy notice will take 3-4 weeks to arrive). However , I will have to go for H1b amendment as my client name and work location will be changing from the one mentioned in my petition.

Can you tell me , how long it takes for H1b amendment under regular and premium category ? Similarly, if I have a stamped visa , then do I need to wait for the full amendment duration to actually travel US on work or can I just go with transfer memo ?

Regular processing can take 2-6 months. Recently they approved petitions that were filed in August 2011.

2 to 6 months from the day they received…it is typical time they take to process…

as you said it takes 2-6 months. So 2-6 months are counted from the day they receive the petition?(in my case 17th Aug) or it’s something else.

I am good ! It takes anywhere from 2 to 6 months. Hard to speculate and depends on the case…No, it means that they got the application and it is just under process.

Hi Kumar, how are you doing. On uscis site they have written On August 17, 2010, we received this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER and my status is initial review.
Any idea how long it will take to get the visa.
Does Initial review means i will get the visa definaltely it just matter of time.
